The Montage Song Licence
1. Copyright for these songs remain with Montage. The recordings of these songs listed on the songs page on this website can be used under this Licence (the Montage Song Licence) as described below.
2. You are allowed to play, distribute, broadcast, store, on-sell the recordings (for both personal and commercial use) without getting permission from Montage or without having to pay royalties to Montage.
3. If you provide the recordings to someone else (by broadcast, sale or other method) then you must make a reasonable effort to make the recipient aware of:
the fact that these songs are from Montage.
Montage's website (currently this one).
This effort should be in line with current practices for making listeners aware of a song's author/performer.
4. If you provide the recordings to someone else, you cannot impose extra restrictions on the recordings. While you can deliver the recordings using a Digital Rights Management (DRM) environment, the end user must be able to listen, store or forward the recordings without restriction in regards to format, destination or number of times (as possible by the device without DRM).
5. You cannot create a derivative of these songs without Montage's permission. However you can do the following:
Clean up the recordings so that they sound better.
Use the recordings or parts of the recordings to create medleys, soundtracks for films or other content which uses music as PART of the content.
This intent of this restriction is that you cannot create a new recording which would be considered as a cover of a Montage song (or a song which is obviously based on a Montage song) without first getting Montage's permission.
6. The entity Montage consists of the following people:
<name withheld - awaiting permission>
<name withheld>
Paul Klink
